NEW TARA TRUST OFFICE

1-Sep-2016

From September 2016 we have moved into a larger office in Benaulim. The extra space gives us a greatly improved working environment and enables us to extend our library of children’s books and store art materials including those for our recycling workshops which are now much better organized.

There are two balconies where staff gets together to plan their workshops. Geeta and Pricilla are currently out there planning an ambitious team building activity which involves tying their hands and feet together and writing by holding a pencil with their toes! In the last month everyone has been taking turns to clean up and organize the new space and we’re seeing renewed energy and motivation in all our colleagues.

This year has been an exciting year for us, as we gained two new team members. Ninoshka joined the Tara family in April. She holds a degree in Mass Media from Sophia College, Mumbai and gained experiences working in the field of education in rural environments. Priscilla joined the Tara Trust team in June. She graduated Social Work in Health and Development from Don Bosco College, Panjim and brings in a deep understanding for social and educational matters. Ninoshka and Priscilla are both working as workshop facilitators where they can bring in their creativity and love for the work with children. We are happy to have the two of them as part of the Tara Trust family!

Apart from the core team members we are lucky to get constant support from volunteers from all across the world. Currently three motivated and enthusiastic girls from Germany are supporting our team. Lina will stay for one year and support us with the Marketing and Fundraising. She holds a Bachelor degree in Business Administration and can enrich Tara Trust with her analytical skills. Josie and Kathi will support us for six months. To find out more about the read the next post, where we introduce the two of them.

Do visit the cheerful new environs of Tara Trust on the second floor at: Opposite Govt. Primary School, Mondo, Benaulim, Goa 403716.

We have a little pantry which is always stocked with tea and coffee, sometimes with home-made goodies and only occasionally with junk food!
